Putting Communities First: Connecting Power to Local People


NALC is hosting three key one-day conferences on how local (parish and town) councils can help the lives and well-being of communities through leadership and service delivery.  There will be plenary speakers and 8 topical workshops to choose from during the day.

Thursday 6 June 2013 - CBI Conference Centre, Centerpoint, London

Thursday 11 July 2013 - Mercure Sheffield St Pauls Hotel and Spa

Thursday 19 September 2013 - Mercure Bristol Holland House Hotel

Who should attend: councillors, clerks, county association officers, principal authority councillors, principal authority officers, civil servants, think-tank personnel, charity and voluntary sector staff, private sector staff, and anyone interested in localism and the big society.

9am          Delegate Registration and Exhibition Opens
10am        Welcome and Plenary Sessions
11.15am   Refreshments
11.45am   Workshops including sessions on Neighbourhood Plannning, Local Government Finance and Engaging with the Community.
1.15pm     Refreshments

4.10pm     Close of conference and prize draw
